Investing.com - Gold futures were lower in European trade on Friday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1081.40 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.67%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1079.30 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1079.30 and resistance at USD1104.90.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.30% to trade at USD97.32.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for September delivery fell 1.03% to trade at USD14.545 a troy ounce while Copper for September delivery fell 0.53% to trade at USD2.365 a pound.
