Investing.com - Gold futures were lower in European trade on Friday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for April delivery traded at USD1194.50 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.14%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1192.20 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1192.20 and resistance at USD1223.00.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.32% to trade at USD96.71.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for May delivery fell 0.97% to trade at USD16.002 a troy ounce while Copper for May delivery fell 0.54% to trade at USD2.638 a pound.
