On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for April delivery traded at USD1151.00 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.03%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1149.30 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1146.50 and resistance at USD1174.40.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.32% to trade at USD99.96.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for May delivery fell 0.44% to trade at USD15.433 a troy ounce while Copper for May delivery fell 0.07% to trade at USD2.607 a pound.
