On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1085.20 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.50%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1082.10 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1079.20 and resistance at USD1103.00.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.04% to trade at USD98.00.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for September delivery rose 0.02% to trade at USD14.560 a troy ounce while Copper for September delivery fell 0.54% to trade at USD2.349 a pound.
