On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for August delivery traded at USD1087.00 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.41%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1086.50 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1086.00 and resistance at USD1132.50.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.39% to trade at USD97.24.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for September delivery fell 1.11% to trade at USD14.567 a troy ounce while Copper for September delivery fell 2.23% to trade at USD2.374 a pound.
