On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for August delivery traded at USD1172.20 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.06%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1171.10 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1168.10 and resistance at USD1200.80.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.09% to trade at USD95.36.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for July delivery fell 0.28% to trade at USD15.808 a troy ounce while Copper for July delivery fell 0.17% to trade at USD2.620 a pound.
