On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for August delivery traded at USD1187.30 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.04%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1184.10 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1184.10 and resistance at USD1215.30.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.14% to trade at USD97.52.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for July delivery fell 0.47% to trade at USD16.668 a troy ounce while Copper for July delivery fell 0.35% to trade at USD2.768 a pound.
