On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for June delivery traded at USD1206.10 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.64%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1201.10 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1174.10 and resistance at USD1214.90.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.93% to trade at USD95.30.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for July delivery fell 0.11% to trade at USD16.612 a troy ounce while Copper for July delivery rose 0.39% to trade at USD2.797 a pound.
