On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for April delivery traded at USD1147.30 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.51%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1142.10 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1142.10 and resistance at USD1165.70.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.22% to trade at USD99.92.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for May delivery fell 0.53% to trade at USD15.535 a troy ounce while Copper for May delivery fell 1.11% to trade at USD2.638 a pound.
