On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for April delivery traded at USD1152.00 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.12%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1147.80 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1146.50 and resistance at USD1174.40.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.32% to trade at USD99.33.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for May delivery rose 1.09% to trade at USD15.532 a troy ounce while Copper for May delivery rose 2.09% to trade at USD2.660 a pound.
