On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for April delivery traded at USD1151.90 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.71%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1146.60 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1146.60 and resistance at USD1200.00.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 1.18% to trade at USD99.77.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for May delivery fell 1.22% to trade at USD15.442 a troy ounce while Copper for May delivery fell 0.62% to trade at USD2.608 a pound.
