On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for April delivery traded at USD1166.90 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.22%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1166.10 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1162.90 and resistance at USD1208.90.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.16% to trade at USD97.59.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for May delivery fell 0.13% to trade at USD15.787 a troy ounce while Copper for May delivery rose 2.42% to trade at USD2.670 a pound.
