Investing.com - Gold futures were higher in Asian trade on Friday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for August delivery traded at USD1174.00 a troy ounce at time of writing rising 0.19%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD1174.60 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1168.10 and resistance at USD1200.80.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.09% to trade at USD95.45.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for July delivery fell 0.03% to trade at USD15.803 a troy ounce while Copper for July delivery rose 0.16% to trade at USD2.627 a pound.
