Investing.com -- U.S. oil stockpiles declined by more than expected in the latest week, the Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday.
Crude oil inventories dropped 7.897 million barrels last week, compared with analysts' expectations for a draw of 4.359 million barrels.
Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, rose 3.657 million barrels in the week against expectations for a build of 877,000 barrels, the EIA data showed.
Gasoline inventories rose by 1.039 million barrels last week the EIA said, compared with expectations for a draw of 1.786 million barrels.
