Investing.com - Crude oil futures were lower in U.S. trading hours on Wednesday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for September delivery traded at USD49.15 a barrel at time of writing falling 3.37%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD49.08 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD49.08 and resistance at USD51.58.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.28% to trade at USD97.69.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for September delivery fell 1.76% to trade at USD56.03 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD6.88 a barrel.
