Investing.com - Crude oil futures were lower in U.S. trading hours on Monday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for September delivery traded at USD50.30 a barrel at time of writing falling 1.79%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD50.22 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD49.98 and resistance at USD53.94.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.07% to trade at USD98.16.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for September delivery fell 0.98% to trade at USD56.54 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD6.24 a barrel.
