Investing.com - Crude oil futures were lower in U.S. trading hours on Wednesday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for August delivery traded at USD51.67 a barrel at time of writing falling 1.25%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD50.92 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD50.58 and resistance at USD56.78.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.45% to trade at USD96.44.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for August delivery fell 0.47% to trade at USD57.12 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD5.45 a barrel.
