Investing.com - Crude oil futures were lower in U.S. trading hours on Monday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for August delivery traded at USD52.64 a barrel at time of writing falling 5.19%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD52.42 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD52.42 and resistance at USD58.98.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.08% to trade at USD96.45.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for August delivery fell 6.04% to trade at USD56.67 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD4.03 a barrel.
