On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for May delivery traded at USD51.73 a barrel at time of writing falling 0.80%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD51.67 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD47.05 and resistance at USD52.24.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.00% to trade at USD97.21.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for May delivery fell 0.64% to trade at USD57.52 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD5.79 a barrel.
