On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for April delivery traded at USD48.16 a barrel at time of writing falling 0.02%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD48.12 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD47.33 and resistance at USD50.79.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.29% to trade at USD99.94.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for April delivery fell 0.09% to trade at USD57.81 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD9.65 a barrel.
