Investing.com - Crude oil futures were higher in U.S. trading hours on Tuesday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for September delivery traded at USD45.73 a barrel at time of writing rising 1.25%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD46.22 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD45.08 and resistance at USD49.36.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.48% to trade at USD98.06.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for September delivery rose 1.09% to trade at USD50.06 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD4.33 a barrel.
