Investing.com - Crude oil futures were higher in U.S. trading hours on Tuesday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for September delivery traded at USD47.70 a barrel at time of writing rising 0.64%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD48.42 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD46.70 and resistance at USD49.63.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.19% to trade at USD96.81.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for September delivery rose 0.77% to trade at USD53.06 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD5.36 a barrel.
