On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for June delivery traded at USD57.51 a barrel at time of writing rising 0.41%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD57.94 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD55.73 and resistance at USD58.63.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.07% to trade at USD97.37.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for June delivery rose 0.82% to trade at USD65.39 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD7.88 a barrel.
