On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for May delivery traded at USD50.71 a barrel at time of writing rising 0.16%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD50.95 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD49.47 and resistance at USD54.13.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.58% to trade at USD99.83.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for May delivery rose 0.72% to trade at USD56.98 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD6.27 a barrel.
