Investing.com - Crude oil futures were higher in Asian trading hours on Friday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for August delivery traded at USD51.02 a barrel at time of writing rising 0.23%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD51.23 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD50.34 and resistance at USD54.00.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.12% to trade at USD97.65.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for September delivery rose 0.14% to trade at USD57.06 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD6.04 a barrel.
