Investing.com - Crude oil futures were higher in Asian trading hours on Friday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for August delivery traded at USD56.65 a barrel at time of writing rising 0.50%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD56.77 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD56.50 and resistance at USD59.69.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.05% to trade at USD96.24.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for August delivery rose 0.17% to trade at USD61.92 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD5.27 a barrel.
