Investing.com - Crude oil futures were higher during the Asian session on Thursday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for September delivery traded at USD49.30 a barrel at time of writing rising 0.23%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD49.33 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD49.04 and resistance at USD51.58.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.20% to trade at USD97.43.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for September delivery rose 0.21% to trade at USD56.09 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD6.79 a barrel.
