Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKI), which rose 6.60% or 3.75 points to trade at 60.55 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) added 3.37% or 19.0 points to end at 582.5 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 1.49% or 2.3 points to 156.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which lost 1.42% or 2.30 points to trade at 160.00 in late trade. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 0.59% or 1.0 points to end at 168.4 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) shed 0.58% or 0.60 points to 103.60.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 236 to 202 and 3 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.61% or 0.30 to $49.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.74% or 0.40 to hit $53.77 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.26% or 2.80 to trade at $1090.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.64% to 9.4280, while USD/SEK fell 0.02% to 8.6369.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.53% at 97.74.
