Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecommunication Services, Financial Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEXV), which rose 5.82% or 1.940 points to trade at 35.310 at the close. Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA) added 2.98% or 1.220 points to end at 42.200 and Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) was up 2.41% or 0.740 points to 31.600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Televisa SA (MX:TLVACPO), which lost 4.60% or 4.810 points to trade at 99.440 in late trade. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) declined 3.54% or 3.560 points to end at 97.000 and Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (MX:BOLSAA) shed 3.33% or 0.870 points to 25.230.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 67 to 62 and 1 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for April delivery was up 0.18% or 2.20 to $1210.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude Oil for delivery in April fell 3.54% or 1.92 to hit $52.37 a barrel, while the April Brent Oil contract fell 3.78% or 2.37 to trade at $60.16 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.47% to 14.8467, while EUR/MXN fell 0.57% to 16.9235.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 94.12.
