Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.52% or 0.160 points to trade at 6.520 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 1.66% or 0.0420 points to end at 2.5680 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) was up 1.30% or 0.41 points to 32.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 2.67% or 0.72 points to trade at 26.28 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 2.57% or 0.13 points to end at 5.00 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) shed 2.57% or 0.58 points to 22.01.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 117 to 71 on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 1.75% or 0.65 to $36.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.25% or 0.45 to hit $35.61 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.46% or 15.60 to trade at $1080.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.55% to 1.0925, while EUR/GBP rose 0.60% to 0.7338.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.33% at 98.40.
