Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Transport, Metal Products & Machinery and Real Estate Investments sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Sise Cam (IS:SISE), which rose 5.36% or 0.170 points to trade at 3.340 at the close. Hurriyet Gzt. (IS:HURGZ) added 4.92% or 0.030 points to end at 0.640 and Tofas Oto. Fab. (IS:TOASO) was up 4.90% or 0.90 points to 19.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which lost 4.00% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.250 in late trade. Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD) declined 2.61% or 0.150 points to end at 5.600 and Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS) shed 2.26% or 0.05 points to 2.16.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 200 to 195 and 15 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.41% or 4.70 to $1142.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.02% or 0.47 to hit $46.53 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.40% or 0.69 to trade at $49.48 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.69% to 2.9164, while EUR/TRY fell 0.23% to 3.2142.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.49% at 96.89.
