Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 1.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 5.97% or 0.865 points to trade at 15.365 at the close. Sonae (LS:YSO) added 4.31% or 0.0400 points to end at 0.9690 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was up 2.56% or 0.1000 points to 4.0000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 1.73% or 0.0460 points to trade at 2.6060 in late trade. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 0.01% or 0.0010 points to end at 7.0290 and Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) 0.00% or 0.000 points to 3.200.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 12 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.65% or 0.31 to $47.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.76% or 0.34 to hit $44.63 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.58% or 7.23 to trade at $1249.27 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.34% to 1.1159, while EUR/GBP fell 0.02% to 0.8758.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 97.15.
