Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Services and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 2.04% or 0.5 points to trade at 25.0 at the close. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) added 1.62% or 460.0 points to end at 28780.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) was up 1.38% or 420.0 points to 30940.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 1.37% or 120.0 points to trade at 8620.0 in late trade. Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) declined 1.03% or 120.0 points to end at 11560.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 0.74% or 10.0 points to 1345.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 12 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 1.51% or 2.07 to $135.05 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 3.11% or 55.50 to hit $1840.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.49% or 18.61 to trade at $1229.89 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.02% to 2930.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.60% to 920.27.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 98.57.
