BUDAPEST (Reuters) - Hungary's radical nationalist opposition party Jobbik said on Monday it would resubmit to parliament a constitutional amendment banning the resettlement of migrants in Hungary.
Jobbik chairman Gabor Vona told reporters he planned to repeat verbatim an amendment submitted by Prime Minister Viktor Orban which fell short of the needed two-thirds majority in Parliament last week largely due to Jobbik's resistance.
Vona said Jobbik's own legislative proposal would contain one additional element, the scrapping of a scheme that allows foreigners to buy residency rights.
