Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA), which rose 5.43% or 0.220 points to trade at 4.270 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 2.53% or 0.009 points to end at 0.365 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 2.11% or 0.160 points to 7.760 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which lost 9.38% or 0.450 points to trade at 4.350 in late trade. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 8.44% or 0.041 points to end at 0.445 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) shed 2.36% or 0.007 points to 0.290.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 12 to 8 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.32% or 0.15 to $46.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.16% or 0.08 to hit $48.69 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.35% or 4.10 to trade at $1176.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.18% to 3.2520, while EUR/PEN rose 0.50% to 3.6901.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 94.90.
