The US is waging war on clean energy.

today's children will judge today's investors for their greed that caused the failure to avoid catastrophic climate events that will leave much of the world devastated and the problem many times worse than it is now
Why is up so much today anyone knows
This ETF since COP26 is one way Down !! Surpassed my downward targets
yes i spotted that also
Got that so right huh 😂
Support 915 then 886 Likely hood now we test the first support zone
COP26: "watershed" moment as $130TN private money to be deployed towards net zero!
The underlying companies appear to have created no added value since last December, and since then the ETF has gone sideways, with short-term speculators fiddling around with recurring bouts of buy-sell profit-taking.  S&P has made a massive mistake by structuring, and then failing to rectify, an inadequate and off-target index. How do they think the oil and gas majors are funding their development of renewables? From the current profits on mainstream fossil products, of course.
I agree the underlying holdings are on very high PE
I'm beginning to think that INRG is a (legal) kind of scam. It has attracted a ton of mug money, believing that the sector can't go wrong - even in the short/medium term - which the fund has reinvested in the underlying stocks, which seem to have achieved nothing much by way of performance over a long time. The managers of the invested companies can then realise huge profits from the inflated stock price, without really tackling the day job. Furthermore, S&P's choice of index constituents ignores most of the really big investors in renewables - e.g. the oil and gas majors - and focuses on comparatively minor companies on the fringe of the game. It's getting to be an aching bore, from which a whole bunch of people probably draw down a big paycheck without doing very much, while the real innovators and scale producers make hay.
1020 first resistance level then on to 1400
good
Biden talks a lot about the green wave etc, but data-wise, US crude oil exports were at record highs this week...
Any views on the price drop in a week ? Looks like a good retracement level to buy
I think once the Nasdaq drops further on the open today, it’s a good opportunity to get in cheap. 900-905
got in at 856👍
Big drop coming in next 24 hours.
On the way up. Glad I added during the dip
Target 570
That’s asking a lot haha
Crazy...going down everyday!
So glad I didnt buy in at £12. Maybe now is a better time.
Plug power lost another 11 percent
Losing 5% another day
Lost 50% of its value. Not sure why...?

Because oil is rising
The bubble in green energy burst.
How low is this going ? Crazy.
Probably half of what it is now
Carbon offset way forward
There has to be something better than this etf. Frustrating watching the companies in this etf rising and this etf going nowhere. Only seems to track the companies when their prices drop. This seems to be a dead loss now.
Since the big surge at New Year, its declined but its the same share price as it was a month over. Over the last 3 months, its still 30% up so thats a great return. I share your frustration, but I think allow it some more time. Maybe if its traded sideways for 3/6 months, then its a cause for concern but one month of sideways in a relatively consistently growing ETF seems acceptable. At least to me.
Lol wut
I use hargreaves lansdown there must be better etf's on there similar to this that are in potion to do well :)
Why the drop off? The share price got a massive boost shortly after NY - way above previous growth rates. Is this drop off just correcting that surge? Can’t find anything to explain the recent drop off.
we often see good news about a share and then for some reason, it just pulls back.Personally, I wouldn't be too concerned as I'd imagine just some sellers pulling out due to knee-jerk reaction from markets, yesterday.
Bubble?
Awful. It just keeps going up. Waiting for me to buy in before it sinks 15%
I think its the case that green energy has come to the front of focus with many countries. With many countries wanting to be carbon netural by 2050, i think theres going to be long lasting growth.I suspect it shot up today on the news that Biden may have taken control of the senate, which will allow this US investment to be a massive part.
Massive jump in the last two days. Perhaps worth waiting for a drop before buying in. Thats what I am planning, and once it does, invest more.
iShares win,win..
How high will this go
slow growth, steady for long term.
