Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 4.90% or 0.148 points to trade at 3.168 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 0.96% or 0.090 points to end at 9.420 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) was up 0.88% or 0.11 points to 12.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which lost 2.41% or 1.01 points to trade at 40.88 in late trade. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 2.35% or 0.23 points to end at 9.57 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) shed 2.15% or 0.66 points to 30.01.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 83 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.38% or 0.14 to $36.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.03% or 0.01 to hit $34.39 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.76% or 9.40 to trade at $1240.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.19% to 1.0846, while EUR/GBP fell 0.95% to 0.7716.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 98.43.
