Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 3.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 10.52% or 0.2800 points to trade at 2.9420 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) added 6.57% or 1.22 points to end at 19.80 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 5.91% or 0.148 points to 2.654 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which added 0.77% or 0.040 points to trade at 5.265 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 1.38% or 0.41 points to end at 30.07 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) gained 1.77% or 0.62 points to 35.72.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 149 to 31 and 9 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $33.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.65% or 0.19 to hit $29.63 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 2.42% or 30.00 to trade at $1209.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.98% to 1.1144, while EUR/GBP fell 0.52% to 0.7720.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.86% at 96.81.
