Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Public Services, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.79% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 5.29% or 480.0 points to trade at 9560.0 at the close. Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) added 2.20% or 620.0 points to end at 28780.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) was up 2.17% or 40.0 points to 1880.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 0.51% or 0.1 points to trade at 19.4 in late trade. Isagen SA (CN:ISG) unchanged 0% or 0 points to end at 4070.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) 0.00% or 0.0 points to 1330.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 4 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 2.76% or 4.06 to $143.12 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.54% or 16.50 to hit $3026.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 1.37% or 18.45 to trade at $1327.65 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.61% to 2939.45, while BRL/COP rose 0.93% to 911.74.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 94.73.
