Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Banking and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Storebrand ASA (OL:STB), which rose 1.45% or 0.48 points to trade at 33.55 at the close. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) added 1.18% or 7.0 points to end at 602.0 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 1.10% or 0.07 points to 6.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which lost 18.36% or 6.7 points to trade at 29.8 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 9.61% or 2.34 points to end at 22.00 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) shed 7.03% or 8.6 points to 113.7.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 107 to 53 and 21 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.44% or 0.13 to $29.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.01% or 0.67 to hit $32.72 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 2.28% or 28.20 to trade at $1211.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.14% to 9.6047, while USD/NOK rose 0.02% to 8.6244.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 96.90.
