Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Energy, Banking and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 3.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 3.40% or 0.2 points to trade at 7.6 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) added 0.65% or 0.80 points to end at 124.40 and Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) was down 0.07% or 0.05 points to 67.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which lost 22.26% or 1.22 points to trade at 4.26 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 11.41% or 2.27 points to end at 17.63 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) shed 7.58% or 1.2 points to 14.2.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 128 to 43 and 19 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.60% or 0.19 to $32.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.46% or 0.82 to hit $34.09 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 1.57% or 19.20 to trade at $1241.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.71% to 9.5532, while USD/NOK rose 0.70% to 8.6702.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 97.42.
