U.S. stocks closed lower on Thursday, with the Dow Jones dropping around 90 points. Here is the list of some big stocks recording gains in the previous session.

  • Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (BS:ERICAs) (NASDAQ: ERIC) shares dipped 15.3% to close at $5.43 after the company reported mixed Q3 earnings results.
  • The Allstate Corporation (NYSE: NYSE:ALL) tumbled 12.9% to close at $117.71 after the company announced estimated results for Q3'22 of a net loss between $675 million and $725 million.
  • Texas Capital Bancshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: TCBI) fell 11.6% to close at $56.04 following weak quarterly earnings.
  • WD-40 Company (NASDAQ: WDFC) dropped 11.5% to close at $151.11 after the company reported worse-than-expected Q4 EPS and sales results. The company also issued FY23 EPS guidance below analyst estimates.
  • PGT Innovations, Inc. (NYSE: PGTI) fell 10.8% to close at $19.98. Deutsche Bank (ETR:DBKGn) maintained PGT Innovations with a Buy and lowered the price target from $38 to $29.
  • Synovus Financial Corp. (NYSE: SNV) declined 9.6% to settle at $37.36 following Q3 results.
  • Sasol Limited (NYSE: SSL) fell 9.4% to close at $15.62 after the company announced production rates at selected plants have been impacted by a Transnet employee strike.
  • East West Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: EWBC) dropped 9.3% to close at $64.39 after the company reported worse-than-expected Q3 EPS results.
  • American States Water Company (NYSE: AWR) dipped 9.1% to settle at $78.29 after Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) downgraded the stock to Underweight.
  • Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) (NYSE: NOK) shares fell 8.8% to close at $4.16 after reporting Q3 earnings.
  • Herc Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HRI) dropped 8.7% to close at $99.17 after the company reported worse-than-expected Q3 EPS.
  • Ameresco, Inc. (NYSE: AMRC) dipped 8.7% to close at $55.27.
  • Triumph Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: TBK) fell 8% to close at $50.14 after the company reported worse-than-expected Q3 EPS and sales results.
  • Union Pacific Corporation (NYSE: NYSE:UNP) dropped 6.8% to close at $186.45 after the company reported Q3 earnings results.
  • Tesla, Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA (NASDAQ:TSLA)) fell 6.7% to close at $207.28. Tesla reported better-than-expected earnings for its third quarter, while sales missed estimates. The company also reported a year over year decrease in Q3 total deliveries.
  • Group 1 Automotive, Inc. (NYSE: GPI) dropped 6.7% to close at $149.73.
  • The Western Union Company (NYSE: NYSE:WU) dropped 5.7% to close at $13.44. The company said it sees FY22 adjusted EPS of $1.75-$1.85.
