Ubisoft SA (OTC:UBSFF) accidentally spilled the beans on the release date for Star Wars Outlaws in a description on its Japanese YouTube channel.
The leak revealed that the game is slated to hit the shelves on Aug. 30, 2024, available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.
According to Gematsu, the company also let slip details about two editions: Gold and Ultimate, both offering a Season Pass and early access three days prior to the official launch.
Moreover, fans who pre-order can snag the Kessel Runner Bonus Pack, featuring cosmetic enhancements for the Trailblazer spaceship and speeder.
Developed by Massive Entertainment, the studio behind The Division and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Star Wars Outlaws is being hailed as the first open-world adventure set in the Star Wars universe.
Positioned between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, it promises to plunge players into an immersive journey within the iconic franchise. The game’s storyline revolves around the exploits of two rogues, Kay Vess and Nix, as they navigate the treacherous galactic underworld.
Meanwhile, further details about the game’s narrative direction and its integration into the broader Star Wars lore are expected to be revealed in the upcoming trailer, set to go live at 9 a.m. PT on April 9, 2024.
