Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Telecoms and Sports sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Bizim Magazalari (IS:BIZIM), which rose 2.53% or 0.26 points to trade at 10.53 at the close. Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR) added 2.26% or 0.030 points to end at 1.360 and Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON) was up 1.56% or 0.12 points to 7.83 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trabzonspor Sportif (IS:TSPOR), which lost 4.47% or 0.140 points to trade at 2.990 in late trade. Metro Holding (IS:METRO) declined 4.26% or 0.040 points to end at 0.900 and Turkcell (IS:TCELL) shed 3.72% or 0.36 points to 9.33.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 255 to 80 and 76 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.49% or 5.80 to $1185.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 3.76% or 1.77 to hit $45.31 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 3.72% or 1.83 to trade at $47.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.01% to 3.4150, while EUR/TRY fell 0.01% to 3.6255.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 101.26.
