Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Tourism and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA), which rose 15.45% or 0.170 points to trade at 1.270 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) added 14.29% or 0.150 points to end at 1.200 and Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) was up 9.15% or 1.37 points to 16.34 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL), which lost 3.33% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.870 in late trade. Eregli Demir Celik (IS:EREGL) declined 3.30% or 0.150 points to end at 4.400 and Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL) shed 2.89% or 0.220 points to 7.380.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 221 to 97 and 88 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.35% or 4.65 to $1336.95 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.46% or 1.17 to hit $46.45 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.74% or 1.37 to trade at $48.62 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.68% to 2.9709, while EUR/TRY rose 0.24% to 3.3310.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 95.47.
