Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Food & Beverages, Telecoms and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which rose 3.48% or 0.400 points to trade at 11.900 at the close. Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) added 3.01% or 0.560 points to end at 19.140 and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) was up 2.81% or 0.38 points to 13.88 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which lost 5.42% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.620 in late trade. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 3.85% or 0.130 points to end at 3.250 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) shed 3.14% or 0.68 points to 21.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 190 to 148 and 71 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.06% or 12.98 to $1210.32 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.90% or 1.32 to hit $44.20 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 2.93% or 1.41 to trade at $46.70 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.04% to 3.6220, while EUR/TRY fell 0.25% to 4.1297.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 95.82.
