Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Metal Products & Machinery, Transport and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.31% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ford Otosan (IS:FROTO), which rose 3.71% or 1.28 points to trade at 35.74 at the close. Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) added 2.44% or 0.010 points to end at 0.420 and Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) was up 2.24% or 0.060 points to 2.740 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gozde Girisim (IS:GOZDE), which lost 4.87% or 0.110 points to trade at 2.150 in late trade. Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA) declined 3.76% or 0.070 points to end at 1.790 and Bizim Magazalari (IS:BIZIM) shed 2.93% or 0.35 points to 11.60.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 189 to 154 and 62 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.35% or 4.35 to $1255.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.71% or 0.36 to hit $50.24 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.69% or 0.37 to trade at $53.16 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.22% to 3.6444, while EUR/TRY rose 0.25% to 3.8850.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 100.46.
