Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Textile & Leather, Sports and Holdings & Investments sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.28% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO), which rose 4.35% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.680 at the close. Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) added 2.42% or 1.40 points to end at 59.25 and Aygaz AS (IS:AYGAZ) was up 2.41% or 0.30 points to 12.76 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR), which lost 8.76% or 0.120 points to trade at 1.250 in late trade. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) declined 5.14% or 0.180 points to end at 3.320 and Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI) shed 4.94% or 1.90 points to 36.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 312 to 68 and 29 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.23% or 15.00 to $1236.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 4.42% or 3.06 to hit $66.11 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 4.48% or 3.58 to trade at $76.25 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.41% to 5.7500, while EUR/TRY rose 1.58% to 6.6067.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 95.61.
