Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Telecoms and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM), which rose 2.56% or 0.080 points to trade at 3.200 at the close. Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) added 2.12% or 0.040 points to end at 1.930 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) was up 2.10% or 0.190 points to 9.230 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI), which lost 6.79% or 3.90 points to trade at 53.50 in late trade. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 3.85% or 0.260 points to end at 6.500 and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) shed 3.74% or 0.53 points to 13.66.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 235 to 125 and 44 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.58% or 7.70 to $1312.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.47% or 0.29 to hit $62.02 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.15% or 0.10 to trade at $67.88 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.55% to 3.7666, while EUR/TRY rose 0.23% to 4.4947.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 92.26.
