Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.88%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME), which rose 6.81% or 0.250 points to trade at 3.920 at the close. Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) added 3.46% or 0.120 points to end at 3.590 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 3.44% or 0.170 points to 5.110 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN), which lost 7.96% or 0.610 points to trade at 7.050 in late trade. Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) declined 5.44% or 0.280 points to end at 4.870 and Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR) shed 5.26% or 6.50 points to 117.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 204 to 148 and 51 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.07% or 0.94 to $1291.26 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.55% or 0.32 to hit $58.34 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.03 to trade at $63.35 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.16% to 3.9237, while EUR/TRY rose 0.31% to 4.6505.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 93.10.
